The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a statement by the National Legal Adviser of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Victor Kwon, alleging compromise and political witch hunts in the release of a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Brigadier-General Jafaru Isa, (retd) by the EFCC. 

In the statement made available to the media yesterday, Kwon alleged that: “ The release of Jafaru Isa, a known associate of the President and chieftain of the APC, eight hours after his arrest, while our Spokesman remains in detention even when the two are being investigated over the same allegation, clearly shows that the President Buhari-led APC government is not fighting corruption but using the much-hyped crusade as a cover to prosecute PDP leaders and decimate the opposition,

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity matter, Mr. Femi Adesina, in an interview on Radio Continental 102.3 FM said the former administration was swindled off of millions of dollars by those masquerading to be leaders of Boko Haram when former Pres. Jonathan's administration tried to secure the release of the kidnapped Chibok girls.

On Monday, 4th of January 2016, the man who works With Exxon Mobil and also a landlord of a property on the island raped a 14 year old who happened to be the niece of his tenant. On that faithful day, the man decided to visit the home of his tenants who owed him rent. They had advised him earlier that they wouldn’t be at home and only their 14 year old niece and 3 year old daughter would be home.

Breaking News!!! Man sentenced to 13 years in prison for the murder of a Nigerian in London.

Today Tuesday, Nov. 24, Evan Edwards, 20 (right), was jailed for 13 years at the Old Bailey after admitting to the manslaughter of 22-year-old Babafemi Junaid (Left), Metropolitan Police UK states.

A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, William Ryan, has overturned the conviction of a man who spent 16 years in prison for sexual assaults that DNA evidence later proved he didn't commit. The man named Luis Vargas broke down in tears as the judge ordered the case dismissed after new DNA evidence linked the crime to a serial attacker on the FBI's Most Wanted list.

According to a report by TMZ, Halle Berry filed for divorce on Monday October 26th, a day after estranged husband Olivier Martinez filed but her filing went under the radar because she didn't use her real name. She used Hal Maria. Hal short for Halle and Maria is her middle name and she supposedly did it for privacy reasons, while her husband also used an alias, filing as Oliver Martin.

Breaking News!!! N10m fraud: Court Convicts Man in absentia.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC yesterday secured the conviction of one Alhaji Uba Mohammed pictured above, on a two count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and fraud before Justice Salisu Garba of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Abuja. The accused however has not been caught but was tried in absentia. 

A statement by EFCC says Mohammed was alleged to have been entrusted with the authority to collect the rent of a property situated at Plot 1143 Asokoro District of the FCT, Abuja by Zaibadari Company Limited from the "Office of the Presidential Committee on Dairy Production"

The senate has screened ministerial nominee, Eyinna Enelemah from Abia state. He is a medical doctor by training. During his introduction, he vowed to work tirelessly with President Buhari for a new and better Nigeria. He said for Nigeria to grow economically, efforts must be made to generate resources outside the oil sector. Enelamah said efforts should be made for Nigerians to pay their tax.
